- 3 cups old fashioned rolled oats
- 1 cup peanut butter
- 1/4 cup protein powder (optional)
- 1/2 cup pure maple syrup or honey
- 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
Prepare tray: Cover a baking tray with wax paper.
Combine: Add all ingredients to a large bowl and mix to combine.
Form balls: With your hands, form the oat mixture into 1.5 inch balls. Spray your hands with cooking spray if needed to prevent sticking. Place the balls on the wax paper covered tray.
Chill: Place the tray in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to allow the balls to harden.
Store: Store for up to two weeks in a storage container in the refrigerator or freeze for up to three months.
Variations:
- Replace the chocolate chips with dried fruit, nuts, or seeds.
- Use natural peanut butter to reduce the sugar and ultra-processed oils
